I'm back in the game with a few challenges.

Hey everyone,

I know I haven't been around much, I was having some quality time with the family.

I watched a really good movie together with my daughter last week.  She's almost 11 and now she's really getting into Twilight.  But luckily, it's no punishment to watch all the movies with her.
Now we have some mother-daughter quality time, crawling under a blanket together, sipping on a soda and eating a few chocolates.  Could there be anything better?

Last friday, I had dinner with some colleagues at Eetkaffee Multatuli at Gent, it was superb by the way.  I picked up Ann and we drove to Gent, found a parking spot but we almost walked by the restaurant. Luckily I had my GPS with me :-)
It's situated in an old house with high ceilings and a courtyard where there's a terras where you can sit in summer. It's still looks like it used to be in those days (of course with some modern features)

And on saterday, me and my hubbie had dinner in Antwerp with some friends.  Arround X-mas I bought this coupon with the idea to have dinner for 2.  But with friends is also very pleasant.  It was at 't Karveel in Antwerp but it will be the last time!  I made reservations 2 weeks in advance and the same night it was completely overbooked, we had to wait an hour before we could get a table.  Then it took an hour to get our dinner, then waiting for cutlery, then the fries, then sauce for the steak.  We never saw the bottle of water we've ordered. BUT we had a lot of fun.

Sunday, was all about peace and quiet! After 2 nights in a row, not getting enough sleep, I just needed to catch up on it because then the working week starts with a lot of deadlines and a few meetings and workshops.

But here are a few things I made:

Something for Crazy for Cas:

I used white cardstock as a basis and 2 leftover pieces of patterened paper.  I used the stamps I bought last week.

One for Creanijn

I used white cardstock as a basis and a leftover doublesided patterened paper. The glossy side to make it really visible and the other side to make a difference.

And 1 just for myself

Purple cardstock as a basis and 2 leftovers patterened paper.  I punched out some flowers with the Nellie Snellen punchout and added little pearls for the center of the flower.

Stay tuned for more.

See you next week! Kaat.

No challenges, just scrapping away

Hi everyone,

I know you haven't heard of me last week, but somehow I got really occupied on my reading.  My sister gave me a few books from Matthew Reilly (an Australian author) and he got me hooked.

The first 3 books I read a while ago: Seven Ancient Wonders, The Six Sacred Stones and The Five Greatest Warriors.  And... I got addicted!  He writes so fluently, there's never a dull moment in the book.
I started the 1st and I just couldn't let go. And when I finished it, I couldn't wait to start the next one's!

Now I'm reading 'Area 7', different main character but it looks very promising (I'm still in the beginning).

I did make a few cards and an LO but I didn't have a chance to enter challenges.  The first card is one I made for my colleague Philippe who's dad past away, the second I made for my teamlead Chris' birthday.

The LO is from a daytrip we did to Bruges.  We've visited the icesculptures: 'The wonders of the world' and afterwords we walked through the city, the convent yard passing the river.  This is still a gorgeous city to visit.
